I don't get the hype on this one. I mean, people like this?? Or am I the only one who hates this book. Anyway, the problem of this book is it's too plain, there's no exciting events, just pure romance, pure teenage life. Secondly, the point of view of this book is so childish, I remember laughing at Autumn's novel, it feels like reading Colleen Hoover but worse. "Maybe Finney's ex killed him" lol wtf is wrong with this book. And it's not even sad, after Phineas died, it's done. What's the point of killing a character without your main character grieving lol.

I was shocked when I saw THE SECRET HISTORY as a "put me in a reading slump book" . The way I was soo attached with the character specially Henry and Richard. And after that book ended I tried to find books that really make me feel that like but didn't find any tho(still trying to find out while reading other books) but that's alright cause I am proud that I read that "legend " so yeah this was not a reading slump for me but a book that will be in my heart forever. :)

I have a vivid memory of reading One for My Enemies. I loved it so much that it actually has me terrified to start Masters of Death. I may not always remember all the details of a story but if I have vibrant and vivid memories of my reading experiences then the book just hit different. Nothing beats saving a book for a certain type of weather or a certain time of year and then the payoff being exactly what you hoped for when you squirreled it away. (I’m looking at you Night Film during Halloween week.)
